How to Register

  • In Person – you may register at the Town Clerk’s office located at 5365 Reiner Road. You may register until 5pm on the Friday before the election.  Remember to bring a proof of residence document with you (see list below).

  • By EMail – An application can be emailed to you if you wish. Print the Voter Registration Application with voter registration instructions.  Complete the application and mail to the Town Clerk, Town of Burke, 5365 Reiner Rd., Madison, WI 53718 (Please note that the Town Clerk’s office must receive the application by the 20th day before the election and that any person registering to vote must provide an acceptable copy of proof of residence document (see proof of residency list below). If you have a current and valid Wisconsin Driver’s license or Wisconsin DOT issued identification card, this license or identification number must be provided on the Voter Registration application.

  • At the Polling Place – you may register on Election Day at your polling place.  You must provide proof of residency that you have lived at your present address for 28 days preceding the election.  Voting hours at the polls are 7am to 8pm.

  • If you are not sure you are registered, check your voter registration status at My Vote Wisconsin .  If you have not registered to vote, have moved, or changed your name, this site will allow you to fill out and print the registration form.  This form must be signed.  You can submit it on election day or submit it to the clerk’s office.
